About the Lodge Socks:
Sizes - 1 Women S,M (2) Women L
Finished Circumference -
8"/20 cm (9.6"/24 cm)
Gauge - 5 sts and 8 rows = 1" in stockinette stitch
Needle size - US 5 (3.75mm) 9" circular, magic loop, or DPNs
Yarn - Aran/Worsted Weight -
218 (436) yds/199 (399) m/100g (200) g
Lace Weight -
230 yds/210 m/25 g
Note: One strand each of aran/worsted and lace weight yarns are held together throughout project, but you may also choose to knit these socks using only a single strand of worsted weight yarn as long as you are able to meet the correct gauge.
Suggested Yarn - Ístex Léttlopi (100% Icelandic wool, 50 g = 109 yds) in colorway 0053 Acorn Heather, 2 (4) skeins held together with Biches et Bûches Le Petit Silk + Mohair (70% kid mohair/30% silk, 25 g = 230 yds) in colorway off white, 1 skein.
Notions - 4 stitch markers (1 of a different color to denote BOR), scrap yarn, tapestry needle, row counter.
Techniques - Knitting in the round, long tail cast-on, increasing, decreasing, German Short Rows, Kitchener Stitch Method (optional), wet blocking.
