Postcard Socks - Knitting Pattern
The Postcard Socks are made using a rustic + soft combo of 100% Icelandic wool and silk mohair. The socks feature a simple woven texture that makes the sock extra warm. I love the idea of how these would look peeking out from under your jeans or paired with your favorite sandals.

1 Women S, M (2) Women L
Finished Circumference - 8" [20 cm] (9" [23 cm])
Gauge - 8 sts and 8 rows = 1" in stockinette stitch
Needle size - US 1 (2.25 mm) 9" circular, magic loop, or DPNs
Yarn - Lace/Light Fingering - 546 yds

Note: One strand each of light fingering and lace weight yarns are held together throughout project, but you may also choose to knit these socks using only a single strand of fingering weight as long as you are able to meet the correct gauge.
Suggested Yarn - Ístex Einband (100% Icelandic wool, 50 g = 273 yds) in colorway 0886 Light Beige Heather, 2 skeins held together with Knitting for Olive Silk Mohair (70% mohair/30% silk, 25 g = 246 yds) in colorway Hazel Brown, 2 skeins
Notions - 3 stitch markers (if using circular needles), waste yarn, tapestry needle, row counter
Techniques - Knitting in the round, knitting flat, long tail cast- on, decreasing, holding stitches, picking up stitches, Kitchener Stitch method (optional), wet blocking
